What does a SmartPower energizer offer me?
Improved fence management - Electronic LCD and LED displays provide information on stored energy, output voltage, fence voltage and earth/ground voltage at a glance. This helps you monitor the fence system and achieve optimum performance.
SmartPower energizers, once installed, will immediately indicate what condition the fence is in. For example, if a SmartPower MBX2500 is installed and it adapts up to 25J straight away then the fence is either too large for the energizer or there are faults on the fenceline that will need repairing.
If these faults are repaired then the energizer can reduce its work rate which will extend the unit’s operating life and minimise its power consumption. Electronic LCD displays provide information on stored energy, output voltage and earth/ground voltage at a glance. This will also assist the user in managing a fence system and maintaining optimum performance.
Power when you need it - With models ranging from 15 to 75 Joules of stored energy, SmartPower energizers can deliver real power when required. Patented ‘Adaptive Control’ intelligence enables the energizer to adjust its power performance as fence load increases. SmartPower ensures fence voltage is maintained regardless of load. The scenarios below show how SmartPower works.

A clean fence with no vegetation or other objects interfering with the fence.
In this situation the energizer is working at 33% of its capacity. The user is able to see the condition of the fence is OK and there is no unnecessary stress being placed on the unit by reading the SmartPower output displays. |

Vegetation grows up onto the bottom wire increasing the load on the fence. SmartPower senses this increase in load and adapts the energizer up to 66% of its capacity ensuring that the fence voltage remains high. The change from 25J to 50J would indicate to the user that there has been a change in the condition of the fence due to vegetation growth or other external interference. SmartPower ensures fence voltage is maintained through these events. |

A large branch has fallen on the fence. This will force the energizer to work to 100% of its capacity to ensure the fence voltage is maintained to required levels. (In most cases the fence voltage will be high enough to maintain adequate stock control). The increase from 25J to 75J instantly shows the user that there is a serious problem on the fence. This fault on the fence is forcing the energizer to work harder than it needs to. Repairing this fault would again return the energizer to its normal operation. |
