Gallagher Fieldays Display Focuses On The Old and The Very New

Visitors to the Gallagher site at the National Fieldays this year will see that the 70-year-old company’s innovative edge remains as sharp as ever.

Gallagher Regional Sales Manager Matt Macfie says while a celebration of the company’s seven decade history will be a major theme at Mystery Creek, Gallagher will also use the annual agricultural expo to launch another revolutionary animal management product.  The exact nature of this remains a closely-guarded secret, “but, suffice to say, it will change the way people think about animal management”.

Gallagher’s association with the National Fieldays spans back to the very start of the event, so it’s an appropriate venue for the company to showcase its latest products.  Last year the company launched the SmartReader HR3 portable electronic reader – a handheld device that reads the information stored in electronic eartags to enable the rapid and accurate identification of individual animals.  The addition of this device to the product range meant Gallagher Animal Management Systems was able to offer a complete range of EID (animal identification) products.

This year the Gallagher site will include a museum display that traces the company’s history back to the day when Bill Gallagher senior devised an ingenious electric shock device to stop his horse rubbing up against the family car.  Senior Gallagher staff, including Bill Gallagher junior, will be on site to explain the history of the company which has grown from a small family operation into a major success story with a staff of 600, and an international reputation for producing top quality products.  Matt Macfie says visitors to the site can also participate in an exciting, interactive game show that celebrates this history.

As always, the site will feature the very latest in animal management products, including Electronic Identification technology.  Also on show will be the full range of Gallagher Energizers, with generous discounts offered on these products as part of the ‘Energizer Big Deal Promotion’ which runs until June 30.  Matt says a number of great deals will be offered and Gallagher Territory Managers will be on hand to answer customer queries.
