Colin RanbyColin Ranby is Technical Support Manager for Gallagher Animal Management. This sees him working closely with the developers of new technology (like the latest weighing and EID products) and the Territory Managers who take that technology out into the field. “One of my main jobs is to assist the Territory Managers to introduce and implement new technology for our clients.” Colin has been with Gallagher since July 2004 and previously worked for a telecommunications company. After leaving school he gained a NZ trade certificate in automotive engineering, and his practical experience as a motor mechanic has proved useful in helping to solve technical problems on farm. “One of the best parts of my job is that I get to travel around the country and work with members of our awesome TM team. I also get to meet a lot of great farmers and see some beautiful farms. In fact, sometimes I feel like I’m in the middle of a Country Calendar shoot.” Colin has six children (yes, six!) and he and his wife Rosanne live on a lifestyle block near Ohaupo. He enjoys his family time and loves outdoor activities with the family, including mountain biking, jet skiing and boating. |
